This is the sock with the Paton's Kroy yarn. The picture is a bit behind the times....I've turned the heel already. The yarn feels a little scratchy but I'm hoping a wash will soften it up.
It does make a pretty pattern without any effort on my part! The name of the yarn is Tutti Frutti.
Here is the mitten liner. I've gotten distracted by socks and also a new project so I only have the one done. I'm fickle. I need to finish the other one though. I momentarily forgot where I live and thought the really cold weather was over. But it's below zero again this morning. Brr!
I don't think I'll need to attach it to the mitten. It seems to stay in place unless you have a 2 year old DGS visiting that pulls it out and then stuffs it back in! :)
I started a chemo hat for the lady that I did the prayer shawl for. I don't know yet if I'm giving it to her or not. We'll see how it turns out....It is a cute pattern though.
Having DGD and DGS here for 5 days was tiring but fun. I must do my Gramma thing and brag on them. They are very smart and precious. And having DDIL tell them to be good or they wouldn't get a surprise when mommy and daddy get home helped them be good. I love that they love having books read to them. We get a blankie and snuggle in for a good time. It's an amazing thing to be a grandparent. If you don't have any of your own I strongly urge everyone to adopt some! It's a wonderful relationship.
