It's wet here....

The day started out very foggy. Now it's misting. It rained yesterday. More rain tonight, changing to snow. This is going to be a huge mess. We haven't been in our house for enough years to know if the basement gets wet. So far it isn't. But our 3rd DS's basement has water coming through the walls. Augh!

Fargo/Moorhead called off school in the colleges and high schools to get more people available to do sandbagging. It's a battle against the river and more often than not the river wins. We aren't anywhere near Fargo but hope to fly out of there for a bit of vacation on Friday. I sure hope we get to and the flooding isn't affecting the airport. Is that selfish of me?

I picked a pattern for the baby afghan. Crocheted granny squares. But I didn't really like the color combinations that I have and was quickly becoming bored with the pattern and not at all excited about all the ends to weave in....so the baby afghan became a dolly afghan for DGD. I think I'm going to donate all my baby yarn to the women's prison in Jamestown. They knit/crochet hats etc for preemies and donate them. Plus they only want acrylic and that is just what I have. Now to get it packaged up and in the mail. It'll be nice to be rid of that yarn and be able to start over with something I'm excited about.

I'm hoping to get pictures of the dolly afghan, the yarn to be donated and maybe even the weather if there is something that would be photographable. Mostly this kind of weather is just something to be endured until something better comes along. Hopefully we don't have to wait to long. We need it to get dry during April so we can get in the fields.
