Near Blizzard and knitting with cotton

Well, we aren't officially in a blizzard, but it's as close as I want for this time of year! We are getting some snow, cold temps and lotsa wind. All combined it makes for very difficult visibility. 1st DS said ground blizzard in the open country. That makes driving very hard and almost impossible at night. The SE part of ND got the real deal. Inches and inches of snow and more wind. Schools are closed all over the place, businesses closed for today and roads closed with no travel advised in the eastern 1/2 of the state. If everyone is safe, everyone has electricity and plenty of provisions, and your furnace is working, it is almost fun. No where to go, nothing that HAS to be done. Stay at home and vegetate if you want. :)

I started a chemo cap. I'm thinking of giving it to the lady that I made the prayer shawl for recently. My fear is that she will think it is too much for me to do for her and it will turn into an uncomfortable situation. Anyway, it is Pi Topper Chemo Cap. I'm using Lion Brand Cotton Ease in Terracotta. I've gotten 3 different kinds of buttons to chose from for the band. The pattern is fun. The color of the yarn is fun. Even the buttons are fun. The knitting with cotton not so much fun. I've recouperated from the 1st go round with it and now want to get it finished but am not really looking forward to the achy hands and wrists. I just have to remember to not use cotton again....this has happened before.
Hope your weather is better than ours and your knitting is comfortable!
